the marriage took place at st cuthbert's church of miss mary carberry, youngest daughter of mr and mrs carberry, 20 beechwood road, west hartlepool, and mr matthew geritz, eldest son of mr and mrs geritz, the snooks, seaton carew. the rev. father hannon officiated. the bride, who was given away by her father, wore a gown of white satin beaute with veil and a coronet of orange blossom. she carried a bouquet of red carnations. the bridesmaids were miss alma carberry (sister of the bride), miss doreen hartley, and miss audrey jones. mrs constance fothergill was matron of honour. the best man was mr thomas symington and the groomsmen were mr hugh geritz and mr william johnson. a reception was held at the belle vue congregational church hall. | Family: F342

they both declare and produced good evidence that they were good aquaintance of Lodewijk (Louis) Gerits, born in Meeroeveren 3 september 1890. In life workman living in Neeroeteren during the war soldier in the 11th.Line regiment paybook No. 60019.That they know by common knowledge that he fell on the battlefield and died on the 6th. August 1914 in Herstal without testament and unmarried.
That he for surviving lawful heirs has left.
I for one quarter share his father Christian Gerits farmer living Neeroeteren.
II for eleven sixty-fourths share each his full brothers by name and conceived in marriage with wife Anna-Maria Bokken.

Eileen May Hiscock was an English athlete who competed for Great Britain in the 1932 Summer Olympics and in the 1936 Summer Olympics.
She was born in Blackheath, London.
In 1932 she won the bronze medal with her team mates Violet Olney, Audrey Brown and Barbara Burke in the 4×100 metre relay event. In the 100 metre competition she finished fifth.
Four years later she won the silver medal with the British relay team in the 4×100 metre contest. In the 100 metre event she was eliminated in the semi-finals.
At the 1934 Empire Games she won the gold medal in the 100 yards competition as well as in the 220 yards contest. She also was a member of the English relay team which won the gold medal in the 110-220-110 yards relay contest and the silver medal in the 220-110-220-110 yards relay event.
